The entire project was made possible by Songweavers.com, a web site dedicated to promoting musical collaboration, by breaking down the barriers between people, be they geographical, racial, religious, stylistic and even those of unequal or no musical backgrounds whatsoever. Shimon Peres, the current President of the state of Israel, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and visionary, was the first to realize the peace making potential of this project and he penned the lyrics to a song named "Ray of Hope" which he donated to Songweavers.com. Members from all over the world, including Israel, Iran, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Tanzania, Spain, the Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, UK, Italy, Australia, Spain, Romania, Kazakhstan, Austria and the US rallied up and created many different and beautiful versions of this song. 29 of them are collected on this double CD set.
